Okay, finally feel like updating again cause i actually have something to update about =)
Anyways, went to Cameron - Ipoh for a holiday during the Raya Break. Seriously missing the oh-so-perfect weather @ sigh... why can't Melaka have this kind of temps instead of the currently mind bogglingly 30-ish...
Pic above: Cameron at night, 15 sec exposure, no tripod, pillar was the next best thing. Misty night too.
Spotted at Brinchang, Is it a Proton? Is it a Perodua? Is it both? the guy has serious identity problems...
After 3 nights, went down to Ipoh, obviously, this being Ipoh, a visit to the Tauge Chicken shop(s) is a must apparently, where they have super crunchy and thick tauge and smooth and white err white chicken.
The place was stupidly full of people... Literally, people standing and waiting at soon to be vacated tables.
After a night in Ipoh, Home Sweet Home
And a few days later, Wendy's HighTea Birthday Partay @ EQ melaka!
woot!!
The attendees from left, Jien Lee, Sarah Lee, Adrian Leo, Wendy Lee, Han Yang, Aaron Leo.
Looks fake, but it only took one brave person, which is not me, to find out that it's edible.
The birthday cake, I think its called Chocolate Roulade or something like that.
Jien Lee was facinated by something...
And Birthday Girl herself
And for the ultimate geek/luxury/fun/show off/bragging rights/have more real estate (delete as apprioate) and a picture is worth a thousand words. Nuff said.

Security Check? my ass...
Okay, went to the library to do some maths yesterday night, It was very normal, very usual until i got to the main gate/roundabout, There was a sign saying "Security Check" and 2 guards standing there. At this point, what the damn sign should have read was "Parking Sticker Check" or something like that.
The whole idea of this stunt is that, there are not enough students buying those pathetic parking stickers. Why in the name of all that's holy should we spend more money on a stupid sticker when I do not drive to campus often enough to need it? and why should some of us pay for a sticker that does not garuentee us a parking space? It's always full, and there's plenty of Creative Parkers to make life more difficult trying to manuvure a car in or out a parking space.
I know many people including myself, do not have their own cars, which should not be a problem. The problem starts when some of us have assignments and need to meet up to do it. So I drive there, cause its safer, and more comfortable, and its night time. Melaka is a safe place, but I do not fancy doing a 400-meter sprint if anything happens.
Ok, fine, the sticker is not that expensive they might argue, but I have 2 cars my household has 2 cars, not rich, but cause parents comes in pairs. So i am at liberty to choose which car to drive which is already parked outside the house (makes life easier). But somehow, those 'geniuses' at the top, thinks its a very smart idea to limit the same of those stickers to 1 per student. What in the world are they trying to do? They want us to buy the stickers, but they are limiting the sale of the stickers. I do not drive to campus often nor do I need to drive to campus often, cause I can walk. I am just there to finish up some assignments/project that needed doing.
Considering everything, I don;t drive to campus often, if I do, its only for a few hours, lack of parking space, creative parkers, does not warrant me to buy a damn sticker just so I can park the car in my own porch...

Ebla - E.S. Posthumus
Ebla by E.S. Posthumus
E.S = Experimental Sounds, Posthumus = all things past; is fromed by 2 brothers Helmut and Franz Vonlichten. All they do, is make great music like this. Their music has been used by many movie trailers due to their cinematic/dramatic style. To keep in the posthumus theme, all their songs in the album are named after old cities.

Grand Theft Auto to be banned?
Recently in the papers, some guy from some consumer association from Penang wrote in to say that Malaysia should ban Grand Theft Auto. According to him, GTA encourages violence, people killing people for the fun of it; degrades moral so people who played the game have the urge to have more sex. Apparently, one murder case in Thailand was linked to the game and in the writer's eyes, all should be well if the game is to be banned in this country. Basically is about "BAN THIS FILTH!!!" kind of thing. Its funny when they complain about the game but never played it themselves. Its so annoying when they start preaching about it when they never ever touched the game.
But I am sorry, I played GTA before and I thought it was kinda fun and entertaining. I certainly did not go killing people i do not like. Nor did I not go fuck fornicate around after playing the game. Best part is, I know other people who play the game and its still the same old sane person and definately not mental.
I seriously wonder why video games are taking the heat, of course the TV got hit first but i digress. If video games are to be banned if they contain violence/some sex that would literally mean most of the games out there, heck the only games on the market at that time will be children games... and thats not a rosy future to look forward to.
Other than that, think about it, piracy is already rampant, banning games is not a way to solve that problem either, it is going to drive piracy higher. At that time, whatever that happens, do not blame the consumers for using Bittorrent and RapidShare and some free games website (you get the idea) to download the those banned games. Them (Banners?) are the one to blame.
Since we are talking about banning video games, let's see might as wells ban them cigarettes, they cause health problems, some people who smoke' em have the delusion of coolness, why not ban them too? I am already enjoying playing this banning game. Lets ban the internet, since its addictive and a perfect waste of some peoples time like mine or maybe because it has tonnes of pornography that destroys a person moral, that will save the world from global warming since people have no reason to turn on the PC and oh, it will oh-so-save-people's-moral. Hmm let's see, Might as well ban' em movies since some of the involve violence and sex amongst other vices. I could go on but for your sanity and mine, better not.

Beijing Olympics 2008
They did not only outdo previous hosts, they even outdid themselves for their opening night. Breathtaking, visual, beautiful, Beijing made Athens look like they did not try hard enough for theirs 4 years ago.
So pretty, its almost hard not to burst into tears...

Adrian on solving problems part 2
Sent my phone to the shop today, waited (again) almost an hour for the technician to cross check the IMEI numbers in his database. In the end, both IMEI from the phone and the board itself are in the database but they cannot determine the cause of the problems. So they decided to send it back to the manufacturer and see whats what. Its a 2 week thing and I am already suffering from withdrawel symptoms... Being used to speed and going back to my old(er) E398 is just plain torture cause its so slow... but oh well, better than nothing.
Fingers crossed.

Adrian on solving problems. Part 1
Quite recently, I noticed that when i run java programs on my phone, that program cannot connect to the internet. The best part is, i downloaded that program from my phone using the built-in Opera web browser. Tried the the web (PC) but to no avail, no solution found.
So made a call to Motorola in KL to check on the problem, the guy was frankly not very helpful as it was a third party software, he did some basic troubleshooting though, in the end, pooh poohed me to call Maxis.
Called maxis, guy was helpful (relatively) and nice. Suggested that it may be a corrupt download and I should download it again from their WAP portal. Did that and still Opera Mini did not work, so he suggested that i go back to the shop where i bought the phone from.
Went to the shop the next day, those cocky/a**holes/bastards were to distracted to help because they were too busy trying to sell me Celcom3G/Unlimited Package crap. First he blamed Maxis, so he swapped my SIM for a Celcom one, Unlimited Data package obviously, and In-Your-Face-Smugness it did not work. According to him, my phone is original, Motorola will recognize the phone IF I bring it to them but more on this later. Anyways, he decided to try a maxis SIM the latest one according to him 256k SIM, still did not work. So he suggested me to go to Maxis Center in Mahkota Parade to get it checked, possible a network related problem.
So the next day, went to Maxis. Waited almost an hour for them to finish troubleshooting. According to them, its not their problem. They tried it on a Nokia at first, had the same problem as my phone, after that he came to me said that its my phone thats having the problem. So I asked about the Nokia, according to him, it works, and he did not show it to me... For all I know, he can't solve it and just made that last bit up. In the end, suggested I went to the Motorola dealer.
Went one floor up to the shop, the guy behind the counter said his technician went to eat and I should come back an hour later... An hour later, talked to him, he tried, did not work, he had no idea what was wrong and suggested I try the Motorola Service Center... According to him, my phone is an AP set and it will cost an astounding RM120 for labour charges itself, compared to the cheap 20bucks for an orignal set. So I gave up, went back to discuss with my aunt that bought the phone for me.
At that time, i was fuming, steam practically venting from any concievible opening retold the story to her. Then I had a sudden thought, check the IMEI to see it fits. Lol and behold, its does not... more salt to wound... made up my mind, they guy in the shop is SO dead... THIS IS SPARTA WAR!!!
Don't get me wrong, I love my V6 to bits. It is a very nice phone to use in reality. And it has trick up its sleeves that the others lack. Namely style and exclutivity.
I like the the design language, that glass front facia with hidden touch sensitive music buttons. I like that Soft Touch rubber feel even the phone is made of metal. Compared to those cheaper feel, made of plastic competitors this feels solid, something you can drop it and it survives. I like the metal keypad. Its a phone that attracts me. I like the slimness and how they managed to stuff quite a number of things into its slim casing.
I like the fact that most people would rather buy a Sony Erricsson or a Nokia. Actually I ahve considered these 2 before getting my V6. Its nice to know that I am holding a phone that less people has. For example, in my class alone, the amount of students using the same phone, Nokia or SE number in the hundreds, its too common, when you flash your phone, everybody has the same one, it hurts. The problem lies in the amount of Ah Bengs and Ah Lians using SE phones, and all the phones look the same. On the other hand, most Nokias are desperately ugly and stupidly bulky. And they have that fussy Symbian OS that tries to be smart but arent at times.
It may not be the most feature packed phone but its the phone that i would really love to own.
Those guys in the phone shop are so dead tomorrow...
Update after screwing up the guy.

Bu aksam ölürüm, or just tutamas.
Either you will like or hate this song. But i think its a really nice turkish song.
Bu aksam ölürüm by Murat Kekilli, this song is rumored to cause people to commit suicide due to the lyrics of the song, according to the video, and to a friend of mine.
Video is not mine as I do not have the video and my Turkish is crap.
Turkish in Bold
English translation below
Bu aksam ölürüm beni kimse tutamaz
tonight I'll die nobody can't stop me
Sen bile tutamazsýn yýldýzlar tutamaz
even you can't stop me, the stars can't either
Bir uçurum gibi düserim gözlerinden
I will fall from your eyes like from a cliff
Gözlerin beni tutamaz
your eyes can't stop me
Düslerinde büyürüm büyürüm kabusun olur ölürüm
I'll grow in your dreams. grow, become a nightmare and die
Bir siir yazarým bir türkü söylerim
I'll write you a poem, I'll sing you a song
Bir sen olurum bir ben ölürüm
I'll be you for once, me I"ll die
Bu aksam ölürüm sýrf senin için
Tonight I'll die just for you
Beni ölüm bile anlamaz
even death won't understand me
Bir siir yazarým bir türkü söylerim
I'll write you a poem, I'll sing you a song
Bir sen olurum bir ben ölürüm
I'll be you for once, me I"ll die
Bu aksam ölürüm sýrf senin için
Tonight I'll die just for you
Beni ölüm bile anlamaz
even death won't undeerstand me

No smoking, obviously not incense
This goes to the dimwits who deserve it.
This sign, which is plastered all over any indoor air-conditioned area almost everywhere on earth and some geniuses just can't grasp the meaning of it.
Seriously, what the hell does it look like to you? a tyre? an exhaust pipe with smoke coming out? random shapes? What are the chances of people not understand simple english, like No Smoking? Is it an alien language? Is it some squiggly lines that form some sort of shape(s)?
Maybe it means no smoking of tires? no smoking of maybe incense?
Puffing up in front of me in front of that sign only makes you well... an idiot. Not man/macho/cool (delete as appropriate), but an idiot who does not understand simple English or the ability to decipher a simple pictogram. And I am quite sure that there are more people out there with me here...
Its such a simple sign and nobody gives a damn about it. This is seriously, going to be the end of the world, nuff said.

M4 Part2 - Faunts
I have wondered about you
Where will you be when this through
If all goes as planned
Will you redeem my life again?
Fire the fields the weed is sown
Water down your empty soul
Wake the sea of silent hope
Water down your empty soul
Fight your foes you’re on your own
Holy war is on the phone
Asking to please stay on hold
The bleeding loss of blood runs cold
And I need you to recover
Because I can’t make it on my own
Hauntingly beautiful, atmospheric song.
Mass Effect OST, Credits.

BioWare does it again...
BioWare does it again. Great game, endless restarts... Great story (Sci-Fi, aliens, tech you will never see, whats not to like?), typical slightly long winded but essential side quest (do it or have a hard time doing the main quest; low level problems). Great Galaxy Map system, i wish it was real (made up facts about made up systems/planets, seemless zooms in or out.). Well written dialog. Graphics are abit iffy though (okay... i play at medium... my PC is 2-3 years old...) but then shadows are erm crap, it looks like that i have doen the shading...
Anyways the bad part... It crashes... like almost any Bioware game I played... Kotor2, NVW2 and now Mass Effect (Jade Empire was suprisingly stable.). It freezes every 1-2 hours, dunno why. Best part is before i can even play the game, I had to use 3 different drivers just to run the damm thing... not fun... at all... it still does that though...
But great game, all is forgiven.

Dogs + idiots = ?
Is it me or its just that some people are idiots? I mean really, everytime I walk Samantha, they will surely be some boys who will start taunting and/or try to get the dog's attention. Its a simple thing really, that they do not understand. Call the dog, you get his/her attention, the dog will investigate and then act appropriately. Its fine when the dog is on leash, but what if its some stray dog who is bored and wants to play? or just a stray who wants to bite the annoying idiot?
For example, i bring me German Shepard to the field for her daily walks. Almost everyday, i meet the same annoying git that tells me how to do stuff. For example, i brought her to a shady area (hot day) so we can enjoy the outdoors. When I say we, I meant me. But I digress, the smartass comes a tell me that they were playing there and can me and Sam go somewhere else, its all fine except for one thing, the field is huge, i was just standing under the tree with Sam on a leash, them kids weren't even playing near us in the first place, so i shot back, why don't you go there and play then since you suggested it to me. Another day came, same prick (ok, fine...I think its the same person) came to me and said, do not let your dog defecate on the field as we wanna play football... then came the Best Line of The Year. My friends dad is working in MBMB... I almost shouted at him at the point... just because i have a dog on my hands does not mean i am irresponsible. They are like hundreds of dogs... and I have only one.
Another gripe is, there are a few dogs in my taman, they are generally friendly to those who stays in the area and are more cautious towards others who don't. That's fine in all aspects, except for one thing. They are called Underage License-less Helmet-less Motorcycling Idiots of a race i am not allowed to speak of, but of course, i am not racist, its just them i see them do it all the time. Best part is, they don't even live in the area, ok fine, they live a few jalans away in their low(er) cost homes. Not that i am loaded or anything but I digress. They will mount their underpowered cub-chais and have fun their way. Which isto ride at (relatively) high speed and let them stray dogs chase them while shouting loudly at each other. Repeat procedure for a few times. Its a formula which works, for them. "Entertaining" to them, not to us or anyone who lives along the same road. What if they fall? Now you gotta be bonkers to help them, they deserve it, after what they done, which is something stupid. But then, thats just inhumanen besides, the whole world is watching.
What i can say, if they do fall and the dogs do bite them or something, they will be a ton of hoohah and a load of crap. Long story short, dogs = bad. But then the dog was provoked in the first place. But then blaming the dog is easier than blaming their beloved son who evidently lack brains, or good parenting. Or more spectacularly, both. Not that I am evil, but I really do want to see them fall of them bikes and let them have it, the taste of their own medicine. As I am writing this post, they performed their (almost) daily ritual of cheating death sorry, Injury.

Took a test @ Tickle
and got this as my result...
Teacher's Pet
"Excuse me, Sir! I don't think you gave us enough homework." Being the teacher's pet probably didn't win you any popularity contests, (outside of the faculty lounge, that is). But who cares? You weren't being graded by your classmates. These days, no one knows the rules better than you, and no one else knows just how to grease the palms that make those rules run in your favor.
Back in high school, your peers might have voted you Biggest Brown-noser, but they probably didn't understand the perks of perfecting the art of the schmooze — and at such a young age! Sure, some things might have changed since your glory days, but at least some of the tables have turned. Back then a little sucking up might have helped you get an A — now it can land you that promotion!

Shadow Master card deck
Recently bought a deck of cards caused it striked me fancy and partly i found cards nice.
Anyways, It was raining, the dogs were barking, the poslaju van finally arrived!
Signed, or rather he signed the paper, brought her in and rip her open.
There she is, in all her bubble wrap glorySay hello to Elusionist Bicycle Shadow Master deck-o-cards
UV500 air-flow finish finish guarantees almost frictionless shuffling/fanning/insert any card action.
Back of the box. Same pattern on all back of the cards
Mmm, red and white pips. Nice contrast, cards just fan themselves out on slight touch.Close-up detail. Notice the shadowy theme.
I still cannot bear myself to shuffle them yet...

Maths
Ok, bad luck has befallen me these few months and i just need to clear this thing up. Am I the only one having problems with maths? as in furthur/additional/advance/rocket science maths? Is it something either you get or do not get? Or just by pure amount of practice?
Let's see, maths to me is like:
David to Goliath,
Kryptonite to Superman,
Athlon64 to Pentium4
Crysis to (insert any graphic card made before 2008)
But then... I can do...
Physics (easy)
Geography (even easier...)
heck, i can even figure out SketchUp and Vray... by meself..., most of the time...
Admitingly Maths is not my strongest subject i am in. Why? Its not that i want to fail/suck in maths. I attend all my classes, I might say i wanna skip classes, but i still end up in class. I do not go into class and a few minuets later and say "Let's Chill" like my friends do.
I clearly remembered saying to someone that with other stuff is skill/knowledge... with maths is sheer luck. And Maths is the only subject that can drive me to tears. Seriously...
Is anybody out there that suffer from maths? Is it genetic? It is because i practise buy not enough? or just because I can't do maths? or i just lack luck?

Green Computing.
With prices of almost everything rising, it is high time that we do something. We can save some cash if we use computers the greener way. There are multiple ways to do this.
One way is to turn off your monitors. Be it LCD or CRT, power can be saved by turning them off. Switching from CRT to LCD monitors can most of the time cut power usage by half. In windows, you can set the monitor to turn off after a certain amout of time of idling in Power Management. Turning off the screen saver and letting the monitor sleep is also a good way to cut power usage as LCD's are not so prone to burn in compared to CRT monitors. The brightness of the monitor should also be adjusted to the brightness akin to a well lit book for comfort reasons and for optimal power usage.
CPUs can be underclock to run at lower frequencies to draw less power and for a quieter environment as the fans dont need to run at full speed to cool the chip. Enabling SpeedStep or Cool and Quiet for Intel and AMD respectively cuts power draw when the CPU is idle. Uses of Windows XP and earlier might have to download the drivers for it to work though. Windows Vista user just have to set their power management settings to Balanced.
Hope this helps!

Goodbye is one of the hardest things to say
Time really flies when you don't notice it. Its already a year and the time to say good bye is well..., now. Its hard to part ways when you known someone for a few years, but sometimes its just as hard if not harder to do the same when you know someone for a short span of time. Its that feeling of not enough time to get to know them well enough or do do anything meaningful. Most people from PT05/06 will be in cyberjaya, while only some of us will still stay in Melaka to do our majors.
Anyway, on 24th May, Saturday our so called class gathering which consist of 7 people went to Alai, Crystal Bay for ikan bakar. we had fun eventhough we had like 7 people. Would love for more people to come, but most of them can't make it.
Afiq, any bigger and aeroplanes can land in it =)
Anyways, photos are at full resolutions so you people can download it. Or just PM me.

Blossom came with the Happy meal, the girls were so excited to have a toy!!
Mandatory cam whoring from JZ... swt
Any bigger airplanes can land in it.
Still having fun with blossom.
Finally stopped to play with her phone.
Worried look, she want to go back and study :D

Been a long time..
I am back! finally, some free time to update this damm site of mine... Anyways, been busy shopping during the month and i got myself these goodies!!
I have been using an Audigy2 value for almost a year now, its a good card, EAX and CMSS and everything, its been good so far.
But lets face it, its abit old already... so say hello to my spanking new X-Fi Elite Pro! as you can see, it has more err components on it compared to the older Audigy2. And it has a heatsink on it!!!! love!!! although it does not produce enough heat to warrant it, but I digress anyways,
Its gold plated at the back!!! other that improving connection between the jack and plugs, it is also to show the lesser people/souncards to get the hell away :D. Oh and the big D-sub connector is for the console, which i don't have :(
The cirrus logic chips on the card.
4 of them on the Elite Pro.
And for people to show off when...
... its alive!!! Bragging rights +10
Seriously, when you use the X-Fi, you will never want to go back to anything else. 24-bit crystallizer works wonders, when its between minimum and the halfway setting, anything above will make anything sound dodgy. CMSS-3d in short works, but make your songs sound bad most of the time. In movies its not so bad though.
Other than the sound card, i also bought mouse skates as i was using my MX518 on the table, bad move, those super slick teflon skates were not so slick after heavy usage, so i needed replacements
They are very easy to replace and it returns your mouse to super slick status again.
And because i need a mousepad, and i was partly suckered by the adverts...
Yes i actually bought a Razer Destructor.
Shes mine and you guys/gals can't have it. :)
Mandatory shot of the pakaging. I think like 10% of the price went to the packaging...
The back, where the pro gamers bla bla bla over the mousepad, on how it improves performance and stuff.
37% better tracking for laser mice, optical uses have to settle for 25.
And the Über sexy casing to contain the mousepad. most prolly 50% of the price is for this gorgeous casing, that you rarely gonna use...
Oh, and MacBook Air's only need apply if anybody wanted to fit a laptop in.
My mouse sitting on it.Another shot of it sitting on it. And no more acid green brand on the mousepad, less annoying.
now if only money grows on trees...
