Update-a-thon

Okay, finally feel like updating again cause i actually have something to update about =)

Anyways, went to Cameron - Ipoh for a holiday during the Raya Break. Seriously missing the oh-so-perfect weather @ sigh... why can't Melaka have this kind of temps instead of the currently mind bogglingly 30-ish...

Pic above: Cameron at night, 15 sec exposure, no tripod, pillar was the next best thing. Misty night too.
Spotted at Brinchang, Is it a Proton? Is it a Perodua? Is it both? the guy has serious identity problems...

After 3 nights, went down to Ipoh, obviously, this being Ipoh, a visit to the Tauge Chicken shop(s) is a must apparently, where they have super crunchy and thick tauge and smooth and white err white chicken.

The place was stupidly full of people... Literally, people standing and waiting at soon to be vacated tables.

After a night in Ipoh, Home Sweet Home

And a few days later, Wendy's HighTea Birthday Partay @ EQ melaka!
woot!!
The attendees from left, Jien Lee, Sarah Lee, Adrian Leo, Wendy Lee, Han Yang, Aaron Leo.
Looks fake, but it only took one brave person, which is not me, to find out that it's edible.

The birthday cake, I think its called Chocolate Roulade or something like that.
Jien Lee was facinated by something...
And Birthday Girl herself

And for the ultimate geek/luxury/fun/show off/bragging rights/have more real estate (delete as apprioate) and a picture is worth a thousand words. Nuff said.

Security Check? my ass...

Okay, went to the library to do some maths yesterday night, It was very normal, very usual until i got to the main gate/roundabout, There was a sign saying "Security Check" and 2 guards standing there. At this point, what the damn sign should have read was "Parking Sticker Check" or something like that.

The whole idea of this stunt is that, there are not enough students buying those pathetic parking stickers. Why in the name of all that's holy should we spend more money on a stupid sticker when I do not drive to campus often enough to need it? and why should some of us pay for a sticker that does not garuentee us a parking space? It's always full, and there's plenty of Creative Parkers to make life more difficult trying to manuvure a car in or out a parking space.

I know many people including myself, do not have their own cars, which should not be a problem. The problem starts when some of us have assignments and need to meet up to do it. So I drive there, cause its safer, and more comfortable, and its night time. Melaka is a safe place, but I do not fancy doing a 400-meter sprint if anything happens.

Ok, fine, the sticker is not that expensive they might argue, but I have 2 cars my household has 2 cars, not rich, but cause parents comes in pairs. So i am at liberty to choose which car to drive which is already parked outside the house (makes life easier). But somehow, those 'geniuses' at the top, thinks its a very smart idea to limit the same of those stickers to 1 per student. What in the world are they trying to do? They want us to buy the stickers, but they are limiting the sale of the stickers. I do not drive to campus often nor do I need to drive to campus often, cause I can walk. I am just there to finish up some assignments/project that needed doing.

Considering everything, I don;t drive to campus often, if I do, its only for a few hours, lack of parking space, creative parkers, does not warrant me to buy a damn sticker just so I can park the car in my own porch...

Ebla - E.S. Posthumus

Ebla by E.S. Posthumus

E.S = Experimental Sounds, Posthumus = all things past; is fromed by 2 brothers Helmut and Franz Vonlichten. All they do, is make great music like this. Their music has been used by many movie trailers due to their cinematic/dramatic style. To keep in the posthumus theme, all their songs in the album are named after old cities.

Grand Theft Auto to be banned?

Recently in the papers, some guy from some consumer association from Penang wrote in to say that Malaysia should ban Grand Theft Auto. According to him, GTA encourages violence, people killing people for the fun of it; degrades moral so people who played the game have the urge to have more sex. Apparently, one murder case in Thailand was linked to the game and in the writer's eyes, all should be well if the game is to be banned in this country. Basically is about "BAN THIS FILTH!!!" kind of thing. Its funny when they complain about the game but never played it themselves. Its so annoying when they start preaching about it when they never ever touched the game.

But I am sorry, I played GTA before and I thought it was kinda fun and entertaining. I certainly did not go killing people i do not like. Nor did I not go fuck fornicate around after playing the game. Best part is, I know other people who play the game and its still the same old sane person and definately not mental.

I seriously wonder why video games are taking the heat, of course the TV got hit first but i digress. If video games are to be banned if they contain violence/some sex that would literally mean most of the games out there, heck the only games on the market at that time will be children games... and thats not a rosy future to look forward to.

Other than that, think about it, piracy is already rampant, banning games is not a way to solve that problem either, it is going to drive piracy higher. At that time, whatever that happens, do not blame the consumers for using Bittorrent and RapidShare and some free games website (you get the idea) to download the those banned games. Them (Banners?) are the one to blame.

Since we are talking about banning video games, let's see might as wells ban them cigarettes, they cause health problems, some people who smoke' em have the delusion of coolness, why not ban them too? I am already enjoying playing this banning game. Lets ban the internet, since its addictive and a perfect waste of some peoples time like mine or maybe because it has tonnes of pornography that destroys a person moral, that will save the world from global warming since people have no reason to turn on the PC and oh, it will oh-so-save-people's-moral. Hmm let's see, Might as well ban' em movies since some of the involve violence and sex amongst other vices. I could go on but for your sanity and mine, better not.

Beijing Olympics 2008

They did not only outdo previous hosts, they even outdid themselves for their opening night. Breathtaking, visual, beautiful, Beijing made Athens look like they did not try hard enough for theirs 4 years ago.

So pretty, its almost hard not to burst into tears...
